My small station is located in Vienna near the Viennese woods. It  consists of a vertical  Cushcraft R-8   (40-6m) antenna, a Yaesu FT-2000 TX and a Heil head set with a microphone. It seems that this simple station is doing a   satisfactory job, the only problem is the noise of the city especially the street tram which is passing by every fifteen minutes. Using a directed Antenna is also not an optimal solution as the area is surrounded with the hills of the viennese woods. The only thing I can do is to be satisfied with my lovely little station and try to get the best of it, at least for now.
